Project Art

For four years while serving on their board, Kyle helped creative direct and produce the annual fundraising events of ProjectArt, a non profit that employed working artists to teach art classes to children without access in public libraries in 10 cities across the country.

The evenings were focused around an exhibition of the childhood work of notable artists, such as Ed Ruscha, Laurie Simmons and Cathie Opie, titled My Kid Could Do That, with the idea of drawing attention to the importance of fostering creativity and healthy expression in the early years of development. It was also a great way to engage the art world in a rather new and small organization doing big and important work. 

In addition to the exhibition, the benefits always featured astounding youth performers, headline talent and a special opportunity to get a portrait done by students of ProjectArt. There was also an auction featuring contemporary works from artists in the show. 

Each year the event moved between ProjectArt’s three main hubs, NY LA and Miami. Unfortunately its return to New York planned for Spring 2020 was canceled due to covid.
